Continuing its long standing relationship, the United States Office of Personnel Management renewed its Federal Employee Health Benefit Program with TakeCare Insurance Company, Inc..
Open Season for the FEHB 2023 benefit year will be from November 7 through December 12, 2022.
“During our forty five-plus year relationship, we at TakeCare have worked hard to provide our valued Federal members access to quality health insurance services, comprehensive health benefits including access to preventive, wellness, disease management and fitness programs, and optimal health care delivery options including access to the FHP Health Center on Guam” said Arvin Lojo, TakeCare health plan administrator.
As a health insurance provider covering more than 5,500 Federal civilian employees, retirees and family members through the FEHB program on Guam, the CNMI, and the rest of the Marianas, TakeCare is held to higher health industry standards set by Office of Personnel Management and the United States Office of the Inspector General.
TakeCare was the first health plan in the region to be accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care beginning in June 2016. TakeCare has also been participating in the National Committee for Quality Assurance Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set reporting for more than 10 years as part of its continued commitment to delivering quality health care services to its members.
TakeCare’s expanded provider network on Guam — including, but not limited to, the Guam Memorial Hospital, Guam Regional Medical City, Seventh-Day Adventist Clinic, American Medical Center, IHP, Guam Radiology Consultants, and exclusive access to FHP Health Center for FEHB participants — is the largest provider network of any insurance plan in the region.
With its nationally recognized Wellness and Disease Management programs and innovative Fitness program, TakeCare’s members in the Federal Employee Health Benefit Program receive access to 19 fitness partners including the largest fully functioning fitness center with locations in Agana & Dededo; no-cost wellness education classes to learn about nutrition, prevent heart disease, quit smoking, and control diabetes; and wellness and fitness cash incentives for individual and family members to be encouraged to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle around the key elements of wellness: Be Active, Eat Right, Relax & Unwind and staying Socially Connected.
