Dr. Samir Ambrale: Pioneering Cancer Care Through Clinical Excellence and Innovation

Dr. Samir Ambrale brings exceptional expertise in hematology and oncology to the medical community, specializing in the comprehensive management of cancers and blood disorders. His extensive training journey began with earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Grant Medical College in Mumbai, India, followed by a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

 

Dr. Ambrale completed his Internal Medicine training at New York Medical College before pursuing specialized fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Vermont. This rigorous educational foundation has positioned him as a leader in cancer care and research.

His commitment to advancing oncology extends beyond patient care through his role as principal site investigator for NCORP in Guam and active membership in prestigious organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. Dr. Ambrale's research contributions, including studies on inflammation's association with breast density and cancer screening optimization for survivors, demonstrate his dedication to improving outcomes for all patients.

 

 

Ashley Artero: Advancing Excellence in Oncology Care

Ashley Artero, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, represents the pinnacle of advanced nursing practice, combining exceptional academic achievement with specialized expertise in cancer care. As a newly certified Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP), she brings enhanced knowledge and skills to oncology practice, ensuring quality care and improved patient outcomes.

 

Her educational foundation reflects unwavering dedication to excellence, beginning with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Guam, where she earned recognition on both the President's and Dean's Lists, before attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she completed her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Ashley's professional experience includes valuable service as a Community Health Nurse I for the Guam Department of Public Health & Social Services. Her commitment to advancing the nursing profession is evident through her active membership in prestigious organizations including the Guam Association of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and American Nurses Association/Guam Nurses Association, positioning her as a leader in comprehensive healthcare delivery.

 

 

Dr. Daria H. Lee joins FHP Health Center

Dr. Daria H. Lee has joined FHP Health Center’s dental department. Lee recently served as a Dental Officer in the US Navy at USNMRTC Guam and USS Osborne, where her expertise in restorative treatments, extractions, endodontics, and advanced dental procedures positively impacted numerous military personnel and their families. 

 

She also held the position of Interim Department Head, where she managed personnel, equipment, and developed Standard Operating Procedures for Infection Control. Lee's extensive experience in these roles has made her a trusted dental expert in the field.

She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she also served as a floating instructor for the Explorations in Dentistry program, leading modules in Alginate Impression and Head and Neck Anatomy. 

Additionally, her training includes specialized experience in CEREC/CADCAM technology and ceramic veneers, emphasizing her dedication to advanced dental care. 

Lee earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Honors from Michigan State University, where she developed skills in understanding patient behavior and communication.

Lee maintained 99% dental readiness for naval sailors and led patient safety audits throughout her military service. Her honors and awards include Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2022), Patient Care Safety Champion Award from US Naval Hospital Guam (2021), Service Before Self Award - Officer Category (2020), and Certificate of Advanced Periodontology Clerkship (2018). 

Lee is fluent in both Korean and English.  She holds active dental licenses in both Guam and Michigan.

Her professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and SPEAR Club, among others.
