Living well with diabetes: The power of mindfullness - August 28, 2024

As an Internal Medicine doctor, I encounter patients struggling with diabetes on a daily basis. The stress of managing a strict diet, taking multiple medications, worrying about health-related finances, etc., can all take a toll on a person over time. Mindfulness and meditation are wonderful ways to cope with these day-to-day stressors making it easier to accept and live with any chronic illness. These practices, once considered alternative therapies, are now gaining recognition in mainstream medicine for their numerous health benefits.
