Not all fats are your enemy - February 12, 2025

First off, I’d like to say Happy New Year, Guam! I wish you and your families all the best in the year ahead. In 2025, it’s hard to believe that despite all the advances in medicine, millions of people continue to suffer from preventable chronic disease. Not only are we in worse health than ever before, at this rate chronic illness is expected to skyrocket, painting a grim prognosis for U.S. health care. Unless, of course, we make some drastic changes today.

Simple steps that could reduce cancer risk - February 26, 2025

Every year, millions of lives are touched by cancer. While there’s no guaranteed way to prevent cancer, emerging research shows that many cases could be prevented through lifestyle changes. Physical activity might be your strongest weapon in cancer prevention. Research has revealed that regular exercise can reduce the risk of at least eight different types of cancer, including some of the most common forms like breast, colon, and lung cancer.

The science behind this is compelling: physical activity helps maintain healthy hormone levels, reduces inflammation, strengthens the immune system, and helps maintain a healthy weight.
