Yet many people who could benefit from screening don’t even know they qualify for it. Let me share some sobering facts. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. It claims more lives each year than colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. In fact, about one in five cancer deaths is from lung cancer. These numbers are staggering, but here’s the encouraging part: We have the tools to change this story.
