When to get screened for lung cancer - November 30, 2022
According to the World Health Organization, like in the U.S. mainland, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women in Guam. More people die from lung cancer each year than colon, breast and prostate cancer combined. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, but screening and being aware of lung cancer shouldn’t be limited to one month.

Early signs and symptoms of diabetes - November 16, 2022
Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that impairs the way the body regulates and uses sugar (glucose) as fuel. This long-term chronic condition results in too much sugar (glucose) circulating in the body’s bloodstream. According to the American Diabetes Association, almost 8.5 million adults are undiagnosed for diabetes. In fact, each year, doctors throughout the U.S. are reporting almost 1.4 million new diabetes cases.
