Information on PSHB Program health plan option benefits will be available soon.

  • PSHB Helpline (844-451-1261) will go live beginning October 28.

OPM’s PSHB helpline will offer a “no wrong door” entry point to the Customer Support ecosystem, routing callers to the appropriate resource; providing technical/navigational support to all PSHB enrollees. The Helpline will be open 7:00 am - 8:45 pm ET, Monday through Friday, year round.

  • Open Season

USPS employees and annuitants will be able to choose a health plan in the PSHB Program during 2024 Open Season, running November 11 through December 9, 2024.

  • Automatic Enrollment

OPM is working to make the transition to PSHB as simple as possible by automatically enrolling Postal Service members into a PSHB plan based on their current FEHB enrollment. Those postal employees, annuitants and their dependents currently enrolled with TakeCare in FEHB will automatically be enrolled into TakeCare’s equivalent PHSB plan option effective January 1. See table below.

Postal Service enrollees, annuitants, and their family members who are currently enrolled in any FEHB plan not participating in PSHB for 2025 will be automatically enrolled in the yet-to-be identified PSHB nationwide plan option with the lowest self-only premium that is not a high deductible health plan and does not charge a membership fee.

Alternatively, Postal Service enrollees always have the right to choose another PSHB plan during the Federal Benefits Open Season.
